Highlights about the older onliners:
- Represent just 9% of all online users*. In Japan 22.4% of all online users are 55+
- People 45+ represent 21% of total – important when considering the dramatic population growth of the older segment
- Online usage among 55+ grew almost 10% in the past year
- Spent increasing time online; an average of 1.10 hrs/day
- Penetration is greater in the more developed economies of APAC
- Predominantly older males. Hong Kong and New Zealand are exceptions
- Most interested in travel, telecom and health sites
