Older Customers Dominate Tablet and eReader Market

Older CustomersAccording to Nielsen’s latest, quarterly survey of mobile connected device owners, the 55+ group has grown faster than any other group rising from 10% of all users in Q3, 2010 to 19% in Q2 2011.

The 45+ segment now represents 37% of tablet owners and an impressive 51% of eReaders.

Makes sense if one thinks about people who have the time and inclination to read, the convenience of font adjustable reading material and the money to spend on such devices.
