50+ Singapore Expo 2009

If anyone needed convincing about the potential of the 50+ market, all they needed to do was visit the (2nd Annual) 50+ Expo in Singapore last weekend.

Over the course of the weekend, the organizers claim around 70,000 visitors surged through the halls.
The 150 exhibitors were divided into five main pavillions:
- Living
- Health & Fitness
- Innovation & Learning
- Travel & Holidays
- Finance
There were the expected ‘geriatric’ products and services but also, mainstream marketers such as Nestle, GSK, LG, McDonald’s and Prudential to name a few. Some had gone to considerable effort to build very large and impressive display stands for the event.

It was a lively, carnival atmosphere with a live stage programme going throughout the day and a Line-Dancing Marathon to keep everyone dancing.
It was a lively, positive experience that I’m sure would make any 50+ visitor happy to be in that demographic.
Hopefully some business leaders will find there way to the event and see first hand the opportunity that awaits them in the senior market.
C3A has plans to roll-out the Expo to other Asian markets over time. Seems like they have a great formula!
